Katie Couric Apologizes To Kim Kardashian
Katie Couric apologized to Kim Kardashian on Friday after the reality star angrily tweeted about a gift she had sent her.
Couric shipped a baby present to Kardashian, but she also told In Touch Weekly, "I don't understand—why are [the Kardashians] so famous?"
In response, a peeved Kardashian tweeted, "#IHateFakeMediaFriends #MayIHumblySuggestYouNotSendGiftsThenTalkShit."
In a statement to E! News, Couric said she had meant no ill will.
"I was responding to a reporter's question, and explaining how I'm intrigued by the public's fascination with her family," she said. "I didn't mean to hurt her feelings. The gift is genuine, and I'm happy for Kim and Kanye."
Couric has been getting dissed by celebrities quite a bit recently. Jennifer Aniston recently wondered aloud if she was a "legitimate journalist."
