The Los Angeles Forum To Undergo $50M Renovation/Operation Confidence

The Los Angeles Forum To Undergo

$50M Renovation/Operation Confidence

The owners of Madison Square Garden have developed an ambitious plan to turn the faded Forum into a juggernaut that would challenge the region’s big arenas, including Staples Center.

Operation Confidence have fond memories of the Los Angeles Forum because in 1984, Operation Confidence Totally Confident Disabled Drill Team taped their drill team performance routine on the grounds. The tape was to be featured in the Closing Ceremony of the 1984 Olympics.

It was because of President Ronald Reagan letter of support that encouraged  Peter V. Ueberroth and David L. Wolper to allow the team a performance tape to be shown during the opening day celebration..

For the first time in history  not only did a disabled team perform in the historical Olympics but the Totally Confident Disabled Drill Team had queens in wheelchair floats  to  lead the team's performance on the grounds of the Los Angeles Forum.
